About the experimental lab
This collection explores systems whose outcomes are produced while they run rather than selected from a fixed animation. Autonomous office workers react to internal state and project pressure; artificial creatures inherit DNA and adapt through mutation; three gravitating bodies turn simple physical rules into chaotic trajectories.
The perceptual CAPTCHA takes a different route. It studies how spatial context changes human brightness perception and asks whether varied visual judgments can make large-scale automation more expensive. It is presented as a testable security hypothesis, not as a claim of permanent bot resistance.
All experiments run directly in the browser and expose enough state to make their behavior inspectable. They are working prototypes by Eugene Truuts, built to make algorithms, feedback loops and emergent behavior visible rather than hiding them behind a static interface.
